If you decided to take the road to explore the Quebec this fall, you chose the perfect moment! Sunny days, quite nice warm weather (according where you are ;)), a lot of colours with the red, yellow,orange leaves.<\/span>… So, before winter arrives, we\u2019re suggesting you some ideas and some good reasons<\/span> why you should do a fall road trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fall is cool\/cold at <\/span>night, \u201cjust enough\u201d warm during daytime<\/span> <\/h2>\n

Leaving during fall means you can enjoy nice sunny days and cool weathers. During this season, you\u2019ll enjoy the perfect weather to explore the Quebec, its touristic routes and its beautiful hiking trails. And if, at night, the air gets colder, it just feels nicer to cuddle near a campfire and eat some grilled marshmallows and S\u2019mores!<\/span><\/p>\n

But what about the nights in a van? Well, in that case, you can roll yourself in the big and comfortable blanket that is included in the van, without overheating or freezing (but if you plan going up north, bring socks and a pajama!)<\/span><\/p>\n

As a bonus, because<\/span> the weather gets cooler, there will also<\/span>be fewer mosquitoes! THIS is really a nice advantage!<\/span> <\/p>\n

During summer, you must call in advance to book your camping site. They\u2019re even often completely booked before the beginning of the season! But during the fall season, it\u2019ll be quiet and you\u2019ll have lots of places! <\/span>That is something that can make you feel alone in nature!<\/span><\/p>\n

Wonderful and colourful landscapes<\/span><\/h2>\n

In Quebec, we do not count the parks that <\/span>will allow you to enjoy the beautiful fall colours! For example, the <\/span>Mauricie National Park<\/b> is full of trails, lakes, and views stop to enjoy some fresh air and the landscapes! Kayak, hikes, canoe-camping, you won’t miss activities ideas! But generally, any roads have a magnificent aspect when fall arrives in Quebec! So, a road trip is the best way to enjoy all the fall colours!<\/span><\/p>\n

Activities that will please everyone!<\/span><\/h2>\n

Most of the summer activity can be done during fall (and there are often fewer people!). But there are also fall activities that you can do through your road trip! What\u2019s the advantage of being in a van? You don\u2019t need to choose! You can do all of them!!! Here\u2019s our top 3 of the activities you can do during fall seasons \ud83d\ude09 <\/span><\/p>\n

1. Apples and squashs picking<\/span><\/h4>\n

Because it is the harvest season, it’s the perfect time to stop and to pick your favorite apples (a little guide <\/span>here<\/span><\/a><\/span> to choose between all the varieties available for you!) as well as squash of all shapes and sizes to cook lots of great comfort food on those cold winter days. Our favourite places: Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie, the Eastern Townships and \u00cele d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans, very close to Quebec City.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Observe the migration of snow geese<\/span><\/h4>\n

Autumn is THE time to observe the thousands of<\/span> snow geese<\/b> which are leaving to the south, from Arctic to South Carolina in the United States. During their routes, the stop at<\/span> Montmagny<\/span><\/span><\/a>where you can take a ferry that will bring you at the Isle-aux-Grues to see them closer. You can also use that time on the island to visit the Fromagerie de l’Isle<\/a><\/span> (Cheese Factory of the island).<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Discover the cranberry fields<\/span><\/h4>\n

From the 1st to the 18th of October, the<\/span> Cranberry Interpretation Center<\/span><\/span><\/a> open its doors for the harvest period. It\u2019s the moment to meet the producers and to try out their nice products! Les couleurs qu’offrent les champs sont sublimes ! The colors that you’ll see in the fields are sublimes!<\/span><\/p>\n
